In 1950, Beretta made prototypes for the development of a large pistol using 9mm*19 parabellum.
Three types of prototype pistols with different operating systems were made.
1.Simple Blowback (Following M1934)
2.Shortrecoil Tilting barrel
3.Shortrecoil Falling block
This third prototype leads to the next product model "Beretta M1951".
