The Beretta M1951 is a 9mm×19 parabellum semi-automatic pistol,completed and announced in 1951.
The pistol was Beretta's first locked-breech design on the market.
As is well known,this pistol is the ancestor of the Model 92 (M9) pistol.
The width of M1951 is narrower than that of Model 92.
Three types of prototypes were made in 1950 (called M1950 prototype), and the short recoil falling block operation was selected from among them.
